Happy hump day you lovely lot! It’s actually Monday for me because it’s the boys first day back at school-Which is really going to mess with my head when they’re off again in two more days 🤪. Happy Tuesday folks! 🦦 This is Olive the sea otter (named by my eldest), a rather marvellous little lady, munching her way through sea urchins! Sea urchins love to feast on kelp forests, so not only are sea otters insanely adorable, but they also help to protect the precious kelps forests! There’s not a bit of this I haven’t created (well hoop aside 😂), The fabric and hoop have been painted, the urchin created with polymer clay and of course there’s a fair bit of felting there too! This is a fairly new technique to me but so much fun! I hope the weeks going well for you so far? I love combining painting with felting, and exploring the effect of the metallic paints on the fabric (this hoop really glitters! 🤩).
